Jim and Debbie Hambrick

Jim and Debbie are missionaires to the missionaries.  We lived in Venezuela for more than 8 years and worked with the Indigenous Yanomamo Indians.  We are now based out of Jacksonville, Florida.
Until The WholeWorld Knows, Inc. is a   501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. We are dedicated to taking the Gospel of Christ to a lost and dying world in need.  Our desire is to help the local church become more directly involved in short-term missions. We work with missionaries around the world and will organize, train, and lead your mission teams. Terry and Debbie Nester - Uganda, Africa

God has called the Nesters to share His love in Uganda. The Nesters began their full-time ministry in January 2005. One of Terry’s responsibilities is to help train and disciple new pastors. Debbie and her children are also involved in ministering through building relationships. They also are planting churches in the many unreached villages of Uganda.

Ann Nagy - Thailand

Ann is working with the International Mission Board in Bangkok, Thailand where she will be discipling and doing Bible studies with college students at a Bangkok University.   


OUR JERUSALEM (Roanoke Valley)

Bedford Pregnancy Center - provides accurate and essential information regarding the physical, emotional and spiritual consequences of abortion, while encouraging exploration of other options. Their sole purpose is to meet the needs of women facing unplanned pregnancies by reaching out with compassion and unconditional acceptance to provide emotional & practical assistance.

Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) - Child Evangelism Fellowship®, also known as CEF®, is a Bible-centered, worldwide organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the local church for Christian living. CEF has over 1,200 missionaries overseas, approximately 1,000 of whom are nationals. In the USA and Canada 700 full-time workers and an estimated 40,000 volunteers serve the ministry. CEF was founded by Jesse Irvin Overholtzer in 1937. www.cefonline.com

Blue Ridge Women's Center - (formerly called Crisis Pregnancy Center of Roanoke Valley) improves the well-being of women and their families through Christian medical clinics specializing in unplanned pregnancy, relationships, and reproductive health. This ministry is dedicated to uphold the sanctity of human life. It ministers to women facing unplanned pregnancies, encourages alternatives to abortion, and promotes sexual integrity. The Center is located in Roanoke and Rocky Mount, along with an expanding community-education program beyond the clinic walls. Since they opened in 1984, more than 12,000 women have come to them for pregnancy testing and verification, pregnancy dating by ultrasound, medical consultation, pregnancy consultation, classes and educational resources, maternity clothes and baby items, sexual health and relationship counseling and abortion recovery. www.blueridgewoman.org

Straight Street Ministry to Youth – Keith & Heather Farmer – In order to successfully minister to the “total individual”, Straight Street offers a variety of programs and activities to fulfill its mission and purpose. They also develop partnerships with other organizations in order to effectively serve area youth and build relationships with those organizations to efficiently serve the community. The mission and purpose of Straight Street is to provide a positive Christian environment where at-risk youth can go and obtain the necessary skills and training needed to mature and to discover God’s Divine plan for their lives. www.straightstreet.org

Teen Challenge – Harley & Lisa Cox – Appalachian Teen Challenge began in 1982. It is a Christ-centered, residential training center for young men with life-controlling problems, such as alcohol and/or drug addiction, anger management, etc. The training center campus, located in Athens, West Virginia, is nestled among the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. Students learn to overcome root problems that have affected their ability to function effectively in society. They do so by following a rigorous, regimented schedule in a well structured, Christian environment. The ministry primarily serves southern West Virginia, southwestern Virginia and the entire Appalachian Region. Appalachian Teen Challenge also accepts applicants from across the country. Liberty Baptist Fellowship strongly believes that the Great Commission is not completed until new believers are baptized and taught; therefore local churches are necessary to carry out that command. Because the Scriptures have given this responsibility to the church and its pastor, they have a desire to plant churches in America and around the world, help assist pastors, as well as endorse chaplains.

Weekday Religious Education - The Weekday Religious Education (WRE) program began in Gary, Indiana in 1914 and was taught by local clergy in public high schools at the request of the Gary Public School Superintendent. The WRE in Virginia is a released-time program where students in public school can receive religious instruction. Once a week, about 360 public elementary school children in Botetourt County study the Bible during school. Parental permission is required for the students to attend and approximately half of these children do not attend church on a regular basis. Four teachers give Bible lessons to these children in mobile units set up on private property near the school buildings. The Bible program is sponsored by a local council and most of the funds come from area churches.

Samaritan’s Inn – Wayne and Georgia Meadows - The mission of the Samaritan Inn is to minister to the destitute, helpless and homeless in a spirit of love and compassion. They share God’s Word through Sunday morning worship, as well as daily devotions at the noon-time meal. They encourage participants to make a personal commitment to Christ. They meet the physical needs of food and clothing, while helping with the spiritual need of growth and support. They assist in the development of self-esteem and provide counseling that helps change lifestyles so that there is restoration in becoming a useful member of society. They also give aid to transients and assist in gaining housing.

Awana Ministry - AWANA, which stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, is fun with a purpose for children ages 3 years old through 12th grade. This ministry assists churches in reaching kids with the gospel of Jesus Christ and training them to serve Him. The heartbeat of Awana is reaching children around the world with the good news that Jesus Christ loves them and can save them from sin. Each week, more than one million boys and girls in over 110 countries attend Awana clubs where they play games, memorize Bible verses and listen to Bible stories. www.awana.org


Fellowship of Christian Athletes – Tim & Christy Hill –The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is touching millions of lives... one heart at a time. Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA is the largest interdenominational, school-based, Christian sports organization in America. Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia - assist local congregations in their task of fulfilling the Great Commission as commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ. OUR SAMARIA (North America)

Chris and Paula Athey – New Birth Prison Ministry - Chris Athey is a missionary to American prisoners, working with New Birth Prison Ministries. Through his ministry, prisoners are coming to know Christ through evangelism. After salvation, the prison ministry makes sure that these believers are discipled. This is done through a mentor program and through the Lighthouse Bible Academy. The Lighthouse Bible Academy is a three-year Bible Institute established at the Ellis Unit in Huntsville, Texas.

Amal, Carol, Amanda & Matthew Bejanni - Nebraska - The Bejjani family went to Amman, Jordan in 1991, and began to work among Iraqi refugees there. They started a school for Iraqi refugee children and planted a church among Iraqis in Amman. In March 2003, Amal was deported out of Jordan. In February 2004, they moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, where here are about 6,000 first-generation Iraqi immigrants that need to be reached with the gospel. Their long-term plans are to return to the Middle East.

Kim and Kristi Meyering – Thompson, Manitoba, Canada - The Meyering family ministers in Canada by reaching the lost and establishing New Testament churches. During one term on the field, they were able to see the Lord bring to completion a mission work at a Baptist church in Thompson, Manitoba. The Meyerings are now in the Sault Saint Marie area of Ontario. The area has a large Italian population and, thus, a large Catholic presence. Kim ventures out from the city to work with Native Indians.

Romy and Kaye Capuli – Missionary to Filipino-Americans, Washington DC - Romy and Kaye are literal results of mission endeavors. They were both saved and trained in the ministry in the Philippines through a missionary. After serving as full-time national missionaries for ten years, God called them to a new kind of mission field. God has directed the Capulis to minister to the Filipinos living in America today. They pastor the Fil-Am Community Church in Alexandria, Virginia. Their ministry consists of church planting, evangelistic concerts, small group ministries, revival meetings, personal soul winning and Biblical discipleship.

Betty Howell – Missionary to International Students – Betty works with the International Student Ministries of the Navigators. Her ministry focuses on Internationals that come to the United States to study. She has been working with Navigators since 1996, Teaching English as a Second Language and Conversational English to International Students. She uses whatever tools she can, such as volunteering as a conversational partner at the English language center to reach out to these students and build relationships with them. She then is able to share Christ with them and disciple them. In turn, when these students return home, they are able to share Christ with others in their countries.

North American Mission Board – The North American Mission Board (NAMB) is the domestic missions agency of the Southern Baptist Convention. Their mission is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, start New Testament congregations, minister to persons in the name of Christ, and assist churches in the United States, Canada and U.S. territories in effectively performing these functions. www.namb.net

Africa

Arise Africa - Godfrey Wanamitsa – Godfrey Wanamitsa is the director of Arise Africa International. It is a ministry dedicated to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all of Uganda, Africa. He and his wife, Joy, and his children live in the beautiful town of Jinja. The goal of Arise Africa is to assist the well being of the people of Uganda spiritually, physically, mentally and socially. The Arise Africa ministry addresses the needs of all people; men, women and children. Their desire is to actively participate in the global community of faith through prayer, partnering and projects.

Eleanor Johnson – Burundi, Africa - Carl and Eleanor Johnson arrived in Burundi from the Congo on February 6, 1950, to begin a work for the Lord. Fifty years later, the work is completely in the hands of local Christians and consists of 65 indigenous churches, a school for the deaf (first one in Burundi), a school for the blind (the only one in Burundi), Emmaus Bible Correspondence courses in three languages, a short-term Bible school, and a large medical “Health Center” which includes an outpatient dispensary treating approximately 200 patients daily, a separate TB clinic, a maternity unit, milk for motherless babies from birth to one year, and a project for the elderly blind, giving eye care and free cataract operations about three times a year. Bro. Carl has gone to be with the Lord and Eleanor lives in the States bringing awareness and raising funds for the work in Burundi.

Eleanor passed away on September 13, 2011. Please remember her family in your prayers during this time.

Asia

Brian, Yoko, Naomi & Sara Broaddus - Pioneers - Japan - The Broaddus Family has joined God in building His church in southwestern Japan. For the past seven years both Brian and Yoko have served as assistant church planters on the Pioneers Japan team in partnership with the relatively newly planted Japanese church, Shimonoseki Christ Bible Church. Yoko leads evangelistic Bible studies and assists with a weekly parenting class outreach program. www.pioneers.org

KYRGYZSTAN CAMPUS CRUSADE FOR CHRIST MINISTRY - We are able to support 5 separate family units that are working in the secular college campuses in Kyrgyzstan. They are all Kyrgyzstan nationals who have a passion to reach their own people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They have seen God work in mighty ways over the last few years, seeing many Muslims turn to the Savior. They are in constant need of our prayers as they enter Satan’s territory. They envision Kyrgyzstan becoming a sending nation in the near future. www.campuscrusade.com

Brian, Tami & Moriah Olling – Brian and Tami work with a ministry called NICS, the Network of International Christian Schools. NICS started their first school in Uijongbu, South Korea, about 22 years ago. Unlike the typical American Christian schools, NICS is, for the most part, filled with unchurched kids from all over the world. They have Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, atheists, Christians, etc., who are there to attend an English speaking school. Their goal is to reach these children and their families with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. www.nics.org

Australia

Tomika Finch - World Team - Tomika teaches Christian Religious Education classes in public elementary schools in Australia. She is also part of a team that runs a lunch program of games and candy at a local public high school. Every week, she and her team members are able to share their lives and the Gospel with these kids. Tomika is expanding her ministry to work among the Chinese in Australia. It is her desire to see the Chinese go back to their homeland as servants of God. www.worldteam.org

Europe

Charles and Janet Baldis – Slovakia - The Baldis Family has been serving in Slovakia for 14 years. Charles pastors the village church that they started in Zavadka. Janet & Tina build relationships with the women through Bible studies and discipleship. They have a great ministry to the children and youth in the village. During the summer, they do a church camp for the youth who memorize Scripture throughout the year. They also have English Camps to minister to the unchurched. They are able to build relationships with them through this tool and many have come to Christ. Their goal is to establish a church in all 14 of the surrounding villages and to establish a Bible Training Institute.


South America

Tim, Tammy, Benjamin & Rachel Evans-Team World Brazil – Their calling is to send Brazilian missionaries to plant reproducing churches in Brazil and among other peoples in other countries. They have established a Brazilian mission agency for sending out these missionaries. They also oversee the church planting efforts in Brazil and train church planters and missionaries at the Evangelical Christian Church Theological Seminary. One of their latest projects included sending a team of six Brazilian missionaries to Mozambique, Africa. The church there has adopted children orphaned from AIDS and malaria. www.teamworld.org

Evangelist Rick Via - Rick Via World Reach Ministries - Rick Via is the former pastor of Rainbow Forest Baptist Church where he served for thirteen years prior to going into full-time evangelism. Since 1995, Rick has directed a ministry of evangelism that has reached around the world. He has preached the Gospel of Christ in some difficult areas including Vietnam, India, Ethiopia, Cuba, Rwanda and Cambodia. In addition to his international ministry, Rick preaches in churches locally and around the country. www.rickvia.org 

 

Treasure Path to Soul Winning - This ministry is working in partnership with a national in Southern India to train nationals to effectively reach their country with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They use memorization booklets to help people in the United States and around the world to know God’s Word and to be able to use it while sharing their faith. The Treasure Path to Soul Wining booklet is in over 15 different languages.

Dr. Larry & Sharon Haag - ABWE - Larry and Sharon Haag served in Central and Eastern Europe for many years with ABWE. Their ministry consisted of teaching and training local churches in the areas of leadership and church planting. They were recently asked to move back to the United States to have a larger focus with this type of training. Dr. Haag will be traveling to many countries around the world each year teaching seminars on leadership and church planting. www.abwe.org

International Mission Board – The Southern Baptist Convention was formed in 1845, mainly to create two mission boards—the Foreign Mission Board and the Domestic Mission Board (now North American Mission Board). Since then more than 15,000 missionaries have been appointed. Their mission is to make Jesus Christ known among all peoples and their vision is to lead Southern Baptists to be on mission with God to bring all the peoples of the world to saving faith in Jesus Christ. www.imb.org
