Pastor Nathan Grooms
Pastor Nathan has been at Rainbow Forest Baptist Church since October 1999. He worked as an intern for four years, the adult education pastor for six years, and became the student ministries pastor in October 2009.
His passion is that students know God, grow in their faith, use their giftedness for Him, and tell others about Christ.
In high school, Pastor Nathan played for a state championship basketball team. He now plays basketball and golf and is actively involved with the Upward Basketball at RFBC. He loves the Chicago Cubs and Dairy Queen Resees Cup Blizzards.
Pastor Nathan met his wife, Karin, in high school when they worked at the same summer camp. They have been married twelve years and have three children, Braden, Kaitlyn, and Ashlyn, and a dog, Tebow.
Pastor Nathan graduated from Liberty University in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies. In 2002, he graduated from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Religion. In 2003, he received his Master of Divinity degree. He is currently an adjunct professor for the Liberty University online program in religion. He has been on staff with Liberty since 2004.
