TUGA

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. –James 1:17

TUGA Mission
To provide the community the ability to help one another, no matter their income/financial status. This will be accomplished by the community donating useful, tangible items they no longer need or use, such as clothing, toys, household decorations, etc. These items will then be available for anyone in the community to look through and take home with them, without any exchange of money (free).

TUGA Purpose
To spread God’s Glorious Grace of giving to our community. This is a non-profit ministry that provides free items to the community no matter their income/financial status.

How TUGA Works
Three easy steps:

  1. Clean out your closets, drawers, attics, basements, etc. What you no longer want or need, that is in good condition, pack in a box or bag. If it is clothing, it would be very helpful if it were separated by gender and size and placed in individual bags marked accordingly.
  2. Call Lorrie Ruff or Heather Anderson to set up a day and time to drop off the items you want to donate at Rainbow Forest Baptist Church.  (See below for phone numbers.)
  3. Come to Rainbow Forest Baptist Church on the designated dates, one in the Spring and one in the Fall, to find items you may need or want. Take them home for free! (Actual dates will be announced closer to the event.)

Please note: You do not have to donate to take advantage of the free items available. It does not matter what your income/financial status is. TUGA is available to everyone!

Items Not Accepted
TUGA does not accept items with holes, stains, missing buttons, defective zippers, items that are broken or not usable, or furniture or large items that require a truck for transporting or are too heavy for a single person to move/relocate.

What Happens to Leftover Items?
Any items left after TUGA will be donated to other ministries in the community that benefit the Roanoke Valley and/or surrounding areas.
