This morning we woke up in Guatemala City, to nice, cool weather. We had breakfast as a team and discussed the moments that stand out to us from the week. It was a great time as a team to share our hearts, and remember different aspects of the trip.
We discussed that we will definitely lose some of the things on our memory and were challenged to use the plane ride back to recall the moments of the week.
On the way to the airport, we were able to stop at a market for last minute souvenirs. Then, we were able experience a huge blessing in the Guatemala airport— all checked bags were FREE because of the issues that happened with the IT system this past week. We were all able to check our carry-ons and be nice and light to travel. Our flight to Atlanta was great- giving us plenty of time in Atlanta to have dinner.
Our plane to Roanoke was a little delayed, but we were able to arrive in Roanoke after midnight. We are physically exhausted but energetic from a full wonderful trip. Thank you to all who contributed to this trip in the many ways of giving: finances, prayers, and supplies. We witnessed God at work in amazing ways!
